Hello everyone! Welcome back. Hope you are having a good day. Today we are going to talk about-Shortcut keys to make emojis through our keyboard. Also, take a look on the shortcut keys for the symbol of an Indian Rupee!

Sometimes, you need to add a character but it isn’t found on the regular keyboard. To type a special character, for example, the trademark symbol™, an arrow →, or a music note ♪.

Chiefly, you have to follow only two steps. See how easy it is!

Step 1:

  • Hold down the ‘Alt’ key present exactly at the left and right of spacebar at the bottom of your keyboard.
  • Also, keep the ‘Alt’ key pressed and follow Step 2.

  • Press the Num lock key on the numeric keypad. Keeping the ‘Alt’ key pressed, type the code for the symbol you want to create from the numeric keypad.
  • Release the ‘Alt’ key and the character/symbol will appear on the screen.

Each symbol has its different code.

  • For example, if you want to appear a ‘Copyright’ symbol, you have to press- Alt key + 0169. and the copyright symbol © will have appeared on the screen.
  • If you want the degree symbol to appear on your screen, you have to press– Alt key + 0176 and the degree symbol ° will be appeared.

Similarly, you can make appear whatever symbol you want by using these shortcut keys. I have listed some of them to which you can refer!

Shortcut keys:

1. Alt key + 8377 ==             Indian Rupee symbol (₹)

2. Alt key + 0149 ==             Bullet point (•).

3. Alt key + 0153 ==             Trademark symbol (™).

4. Alt key + 0190 ==             Fraction, three-fourths (¾).

5. Alt key + 0215 ==             multi­plication sign (×).

6. Alt key + 0162 ==             the cent sign (¢).

7. Alt key + 0161 = =             upside down exclamation point ( ¡).

8. Alt key + 0191 ==             upside down question mark (¿).

Emojis:

9. Alt key + 1 ==                    smiley face (☺).

10. Alt key + 15 ==             sun (☼).

11. Alt key + 2 ==                    black smiley face (☻).

12. Alt key + 12 ==                  female sign (♀).

13. Alt key + 11 ==                  male sign (♂).

14. Alt key + 6 ==                    Spade (♠).

15. Alt key + 5 ==                    Club (♣).

16. Alt key + 3  ==                     Heart (♥).

17. Alt key + 4 ==                    Diamond (♦).

18. Alt key + 13 ==                  eighth note (♪).

19. Alt key + 8721 ==             N- ary summation (auto sum) (∑).

20. Alt key + 251  ==              square root check mark (√).

Arrow Keys:

21. Alt key + 24 ==                  up arrow ( ↑).

22. Alt key + 25 ==                  down arrow (↓).

23. Alt key + 26  ==                 right arrow (→).

24. Alt key + 27 ==                  left arrow (←).

25. Alt key + 18 ==                  up/down arrow (↕).

26. Alt key + 29 ==                  left right arrow (↔).

Of course, there are many more codes you want to use. You just have to remember or you can simply write it on paper and use it whenever you need. These were some of the most widely used symbols that I listed for you!
